Trump using the military to stay in power?

Ten former Secretary's of State have warned Trump about using the military. And in a brief report on TV on Saturday, it was reported that an unnamed military official told Trump, "You can't do that sir." DO WHAT???

What has Trump already tried to do with the military, and still planning to do with the military that we don't know about? Evidently, the 10 ex Secretary's of State know something we don't know, but they're not saying anything about it publicly.

Here's a link to the WaPo where they issue a warning to Trump about use of the military, but aside from that, nothing specific is mentioned.

He thinks it is like those countries where the military can back a coup.

The military already told him no.

Every country has laws that get ignored when there is a military coup. The US Constitution is not what will stop a coup, just the leaders of the military not going along is what prevents it.

I don't think we're in that territory, but Dick Cheney and 10 former military leaders thought it necessary to write an op-ed in the Post this weekend reminding our current military leaders of their oaths against this type of behavior, that alone is chilling.

shithole even got republican politicians backing him to name a few Nunez and Jordan from the House side. Ron Johnson, Cruz and more on the Senate side.

The military heads have been aware of this "coup" for awhile.

Good to know majority of the military ain't gonna let this happen, and I'm pretty sure the military knows the reason for the murderer's pardons.

Is there a way that the military can disable the football or change the codes if he absconds with the controls?

I personally have 3 nephews in the military (Coast Guard, Army Rangers, and Army vehicle maintenance), am related (extended family) to 2 Reserve officers and a retired Army Captain who are all tRumpers and believe all the crap he and Qanon spew.

It's scuttlebutt from a DUer's family member of the "as much as I can say, which isn't much" variety, but it fits in with what the former Secretaries are saying.

I can’t imagine how he won’t attempt it. I don’t know what scares me more, his attempt with our military, or when his broken brain figures out that nothing will work.

The Posse Comitatus Act 18 U.S.C. § 1385 (The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law signed on June 18, 1878, by President Rutherford B. Hayes which limits the powers of the federal government in the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States.) Explicitly stops him there.

Insurrection act (The Insurrection Act of 1807 is a United States federal law that empowers the President of the United States to deploy U.S. military and federalized National Guard troops within the United States in particular circumstances, such as to suppress civil disorder, insurrection, and rebellion. With the act explicitly stating the state that any troops are deployed in has to ask for the assistance.) Stops him there.

Any person in the military that actually cares about honor would recognize that any order from Trump to deploy within the USA is an illegal order, and they have every legal right to refuse to carry out said orders.
