have not been infringed in the slightest. Simon & Schuster is a private company, not the government or acting for the government; the First Amendment only prohibits restrictions on speech by the government. And Hawley, who graduated from Yale Law School and taught constitutional law, knows this perfectly well. But the MAGAts he's cultivating, for all their ranting about it, haven't a clue what the Constitution actually says, and he's cynically using their ignorance for his benefit. S&S canceled the contract only because they concluded that Hawley is about to become about as popular as an inflamed hemorrhoid so his book wouldn't sell.

Because according to you guys, even suggesting they be restrained from doing whatever the hell they want is "socialism", you pinko bastards, you!

You can publish directly on Amazon for free. You still have the 1st amendment rights little buddy.

It is not a "right" to have your contract for a publishing fee canceled after you promoted an attack on our country. The free market doing its job is another way to look at it.

Look, Josh - as a Republican you're supposed to be pro-business. Simon and Schuster is a business, not a charity. That means they want to make money. And they know Magats don't (or can't) read. And they know you're not interesting enough to make readers of political books buy enough to cover their costs. So, deal with it like an adult.
