But, since the consensus opinion seems to be that Obama will pull ahead once Romney is nominated, this is good news.

It doesn't specify and seems not to be "likely" voters, but rather random individuals. These are good at judging the mood in the country, but necessarily the actual voting community preferences. I think Obama may have a bit more of a lead with likely voters, but that is just my personal speculation.

I read through it and missed that nugget. Registered voters is still not "likely" voters which from my experience is closer to the real election happening "at this point". I still think Obama is even higher. That may get closer as the election nears, but really I don't see any of the current candidates being able to withstand the campaign against Obama especially after they have soiled themselves so much.
