Today, I vacillate between

high blood pressure anger and tears. I truly don't know how to manage my emotions. As somebody who has been in therapy for eons, I know the drill...continue to take my anti-depressants, keep hydrated, exercise, deep breaths. nothing is helping. I think it's the feeling of helplessness that has me the most emotional; helpless because I truly don't think there will be any true justice for what happened last Wednesday. I'm not talking about accountability for the perpetrators of the violence, but for those in the suits and ties who pulled the strings and set things in motion.

9/11 happened. It took....."time" to get them...We got them.. We will get these people too...
The people that caused this .."riot" will be gotten. Yes, it takes time, and we want those convictions to stick
so these assholes spend lots of ..."time"...in prison..

The Republican party is under tremendous pressure right now. The arrests and trials of the terrorists in D.C. will go on for weeks and months, making Republicans who defended them look terrible. Every day is worse and worse for Republicans. They are getting kicked off Twitter and other social networks. Their own Twitter competitor might very well die.

We all have to be vigilant. Try not to watch the news all day long.

We will get through this and make our country and the world a better place.

We’re leaving an abuser. He’s angry and unpredictable. It’s very anxiety inducing.

I’ve done it. These days are reminiscent of leaving an abuser in my personal life. I’m scared, mostly of the unpredictability. I believe we are in danger.

The GOP has made a huge miscalculation, and it has backfired badly.
GOP evil can no longer be hidden or ignored by the American public or even corporate America.
Once corporate America starts pulling money, the suits and ties will start shaking and lose their funding.

I am heartbroken by events, but have never been more certain that justice will be done.
And the evil GOP will be undone.

I am heartened by the GA runoffs, and also thrilled that Biden and Harris will soon be in the White House.
Hopefully Covid will come to an end and the country can get back to normal.

Please talk to your therapist who can provide support at this time.
You are not alone, many Americans are badly shaken.

Keep pushing forward with the demand for Accountability for EVERYONE involved.

When you need to rest, others will continue the fight.

We have the three branches, and pissed off officials demanding accountability. We just need to pick up their voices when they need to rest.

Just keep demanding what is right.

I understand as best I can,,,, I am now a little old lady,,,, my anger is deep, my sense of justice (or the need for justice) is huge,,,, I want to see things happen,,,, to see these wrongs, righted. I am not patient by nature nor do I have the health & stamina & courage to protest and I do not think counter protests are the way to go right now anyway,,,, It's not like we have a ton of money to donate to the causes,,,,

But I am feeling some hope because I think Joe Biden & the Democratic Congress & justice department will pursue these criminals & their crimes,,,, I think our racial divides are going to be at least a little better,,,, baby steps,,,,, I think the virus is going to slowly get under control,,,,, right now the news is highlighting some startling things and this is painful but good in the long-run,,,, I guess what I am saying is we have to play the 'long game'.

dang this year has been jarring.

do you have hobbies? I crochet & have taught myself to knit this year,,,, the hobbies distract me some. For me re-joining DU and reading the posts from like-minded people help,,,, Do you have some trusted friends? family?

Please please take care of yourself,,,,
