I don't usually take pleasure in someone else's pain, BUT ...

… I seem to be doing that a lot these days.

When I know Donald Trump can’t sleep, it makes me sleep peacefully.

When I know Donald Trump is seething with rage, it makes me calm.

When I know Donald Trump is lashing out in fear, it makes me joyful.

When I know Donald Trump is languishing in loneliness and isolation, I rejoice in the feeling of being surrounded by millions of my fellow decent, moral, ethical Americans.

I know that it may take months, even years, for all of Donald Trump’s crimes to be exposed, and for him to finally be held accountable.

But the fact that he is staring into the dark abyss that his life is about to become, along with his realization that there is no means of escape from everything about to befall him – well, I’m good with that for now.

Trump told us again and again he wanted to arrest HRC, and then Biden.

Now that he has them isolated in DC, you don't think he'll allow that opportunity to float by underutilized, do you?

Once trump leaves office, the revelations will begin. We think we know what a bad president he was, but we don't. As time goes on and the trickle becomes a flow and then a torrent, even trump's worst critics will be stunned by what he has been up to these last four years.

to sit back and glow in the aftermath of the defeat of IQ45. We deserve that.

BUT,

we have work to do. We DID win by a landslide (as defined by the RepubliCons with BunkerBoy's 306 electoral votes - same as Joe got!) and now we must follow through with that MANDATE!

And, WOW! - what a great feeling!

I understand your feelings. As a Buddhist, I see the truth of karma. That selfish thoughts, words, and deeds create the karma of suffering; altruistic thoughts, words, and deeds beneficial to the well being of others creates happiness and joy. Trump is now reaping some of the unhappy suffering consequences (karma) of his behavior -- all of his own making.

Justice is a virtue, a virtue written about by Aristotle, Cicero, Seneca, and many others. Equal justice under the law is the bedrock foundation of our democracy. The good news is that experiencing the consequences of his actions, might provide Trump with an epiphany that he and he alone is responsible for where he finds himself. Personally, I think the chances of Trump every getting even a sliver of insight into where he finds himself is slim and none. But I'm open to the possibility that some great wise person will have compassion for him and have the ability to say just the right words to get him started thinking about the law of actions have consequences. He certainly will never examine his behavior and selfishness, if he doesn't experience consequences.

I have long seen Trump as a master class in ethical morality. By that I mean, what it looks like for someone to be completely devoid of ethical morality, because he has literally committed all 10 Buddhist non-virtues of:

No killing, stealing, lying, sexual misconduct
No harsh angry speech, divisive speech, idle gossip
No envy, no ill-will
Lack of mental focus, and lack of wisdom.

He's never had to experience the consequences of his actions. Thus, he missed the most important part. Learning from them. And not just how those consequences impact himself, but others around him. He's 70+, but morally and ethically he's stunted, like a small child. Trump never learned to accept responsibility and view just consequences as both the fair and inevitable outcome and a learning experience. Growing up, my most dreaded words were..."Well, yea, you screwed up. Now, what did you learn from this?" Failures are sunk costs. Don't dwell on them because you can't undo them, but accept the consequences stoically and learn from them. It's what you do from here on out that's important. Those things stuck with me far more strongly than anything I did right or well. Still do. Trump never had that at any point in his life.

it makes me feel so much more at peace to know that the most evil person on this earth is finally suffering from the humiliation he has long had coming to him.

I cherish this day knowing that deep inside he greatly laments the fact that he ever decided to run for president.

It warms my heart to know that he will never be able to screw "little" people ever again out of their life savings.

It makes me smile from ear to ear that he is going broke.

It fills my entire body with joy knowing that he knows for himself that everyone in the world hates his guts, everyone but the dumbest fools in the country, that is.

Across the entire planet, Trump's name is MUD, and that in itself gives me the kind of satisfaction that cannot be expressed in words.
