His interview with impeachment manager Dean-PA was heartening. She sounded resolved and confident that there will be no quarter given to tRump for the sake of fake "unity." Ali asks good questions and elicits great responses.

I also think Ari Melber, Joy Reid, and Chris Hayes are doing a good job. Being as I have a VERY early start time to my job, I am usually asleep by the time Rachel Maddow comes on.

I fall asleep early too, so I'm subscribed to Rachel's and Lawrence's podcasts. They cut out the commercials, and I catch up during wakeful periods during the night, or the next day. I don't have to get up for work though.

Walter Cronkite was our family's choice for the evening news. I still remember his coverage of Armstrong and Aldrin setting foot on the moon on July 20, 1969.

It was Walter Cronkite who announced his death to the nation. Other stations did it too, but everyone remembers Cronkite.

Dad was a journalist. He admired Cronkite, deeply. I learned my politics from my dad, he opposed US involvement in SE Asia far before it became a political issue here. When Cronkite stated his opposition. Dad wept, grieving and laughing. I miss both of them.

He's an import, so thanks to Canada for letting him go.

Aside from that he's pleasant, articulate, energetic and thorough. I know they'll never let him go from being the "clean up hitter" but can you imagine how
Press the Meat would become a program we would actually like to watch again if he had it?

Yes, Cohen interviews Velshi, not vice versa!

I personally think that Cohen's Mea Culpa podcast is excellent. I've enjoyed every instance (except for the one with Omerosa, who is as loathsome as Trump).

Cohen is oddly talented in this medium, in which he offers unique social commentary.

Among other things, when any topic seems on the brink of becoming too difficult to understand, he has this innate ability to reach back and swoop us all forward to that place of knowing. It is truly a gift .....and Ali has it.
