Space Command, Space Force, both important in U.S. defense that a certain suspect has tried to claim credit for. Approved by Congress before the suspect even knew about it.

About as funny as defund the police. How did that go for Congressional campaigns?

I think having someone manage and maintain the Global Positioning System is a good thing.

But I'd be happy to see the Space Command dissolved and the units revert to their previous reporting structure.

As you said, all of its functions are already being handled.

We have no fleet of manned military space vehicles, nor any need for such a thing. We cannot and will not be doing battle in space that cannot be handled by the existing organizations.

There is no need for a separate "Space Force." Such a military organization would just mean additional overhead for a new, superfluous chain of command.

We might need something like that sometime in the distant future, but not right now. The job is being handled already. It is simply a wasteful use of resources and funds. It's Donald J. Trump's fantasy.

Defund and dissolve it. Return things to the previous configuration.
