Biden wins wide approval for handling of transition, but persistent GOP skepticism on issues will cloud the opening of his presidency, Post-ABC poll finds
Two-thirds of Americans approve of President-elect Joe Bidens handling of the transition ahead of his inauguration Wednesday, but mixed confidence in his leadership on major issues along with President Trumps hold on the Republican Party present sizable challenges for the early days of the new administration, a Washington Post-ABC News poll finds.
Biden enters office with 49 percent of Americans confident that he will make the right decisions for the countrys future, compared with 50 percent who take the opposite view. The 49 percent represents much greater trust than Trumps 38 percent mark four years ago but much lower than the 61 percent who expressed trust in Barack Obamas decisions on the eve of his inauguration in 2009.
The equally divided result on the broad question about confidence in Bidens leadership and decision-making is mainly the result of strong distrust among Republicans about the incoming president, a finding that persists throughout the poll and underscores the degree to which the deeply polarizing presidential campaign along with Trumps baseless claims about a stolen election have shaped Republican attitudes.
Overall, more than 6 in 10 Americans say Biden was legitimately elected as the 46th president, including more than 9 in 10 Democrats and more than 6 in 10 independents. But 7 in 10 Republicans say he was not legitimately elected. That suggests that Trumps claims of widespread voter fraud, propagated by many other Republicans, have taken root within the party despite the absence of credible evidence, dozens of failed legal challenges and multiple recounts affirming Bidens victories in Georgia and Wisconsin.

This country is in serious fucking trouble if 4 in 10 people are truly this easily manipulated into believing complete and utter bullshit about our democratic processes and/or this pig-stupid.
I hope it's really that 4 in 10 WON'T ADMIT (to a pollster) that Biden was legitimately elected.
That's still pretty damn bad but not quite as alarming.

consistently confirm that 40% of Americans are indeed drooling idiots.
