Looking ahead, will there be a holding to account? Do we as a country have the will?

I believe, more and more each day, that we are at an inflection point. I subscribe to the notion that if we allow this moment to pass largely unanswered we will be doomed to relive it, perhaps with an even worse.

What is a holding to account?

Trials and sentencing?

A national effort to disrupt the groups that were involved directly or indirectly?

I think it is reasonable to assume the Biden administration and his AG will make a visible effort, but will it be enough?

Will any Republicans pivot toward supporting a democracy instead of an oligarchy or dictatorship?

If States and the Federal government have to hide behind fences to do their jobs then America is over. It is time for a show of strength, nothing else works. The bullies have to be reigned in and shown that we are mad as hell and we aren't going to take it anymore.

There is no reasoning with people who deny truth. The Rightwingnuts want a civil war. We have to show them what war looks like. Prosecute them for everything from jaywalking to murder, fill the prisons with them if need be. Fill the cemeteries with them if they demand it.

The Germans handed their country to a minority of chest thumpers, haters and deniers. If we make the same mistake, we will reap the same rewards.

This is what they want:

The Boogaloo Boys vs. the armed forces of the United States of America. Place your bets, boys. You will lose and lose badly.

To the fullest extent allowable under the law. Yes, including death penalty.

I am not normally a fan of death penalty, but for this treasonous scum ABSOLUTELY! For all found guilty.

4. As much as it saddens me, I think this needs to be the #1, #2, and #3 emphasis of the Biden admin

I know Dems can walk and chew gum at the same time, so I'm hopeful we can take on #4, #5, and beyond as well, but policy changes mean NOTHING if our democracy goes down the shitter and the next GOP administration can simply undo what Biden and the Democratic Congress put into place now.
