In Joe's first ride as president, good manners are back

David Begnaud @DavidBegnaud · 8m
In his first ride, as President, in ‘the beast’ President Biden escorted his wife to her side of the vehicle then went around to his side.
The license plate reads 46.

At all during that day and for the first years.

Chivalry is in Joe's DNA.

Jill, they look great, but as a woman of similar age ... ouch! Try some lower-heeled shoes next time you have to stand for that long. Been there (well, not at an inauguration), done that, regretted it, given it up.

I saw her walk over to that car door, and I could tell she was gonna kick off those spikes and rub her feet for the duration of the ride. I recognized the walk.

Jeebus, chill. You can best respect our new President and First Lady by giving up the angry attitude.

It's truly bizarre to think she's not smart enough to know what footware to choose on this momentous (and long) day.

She wasn't criticizing. Either you aren't a woman who has had to stand in high heels for any length of time, or you aren't a woman. No need to be so sensitive and defensive.

Noticing the three former First Ladies in flatter shoes. They’ve been there and one that!

You can tell by the way they interact with each other that there is a deep love and respect that the Biden's have for each other. Similar to President Obama and Michelle. Natural, not forced or faked. Love.

There will be NO pulling away of the hand, when they are out in public. No speculation about "body doubles". No stupid jackets.

We have a NORMAL President and First Lady back in the White House!

Note the man's hand covering that top sharp corner and nothing covering the lower sharp corner. These are completely unnecessary hazards.
