Mitch (Buchanan) will figure out a way to gracefully raise the flag of surrender. Never thought that I would consistently say good things about Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney, but they are the only two republicans who have stood up to Trump to any appreciable extent.

If Trump and other high level people end up being prosecuted, the Republicans will definitely throw Trump and his magats under the bus. That’s one of many reasons it’s essential that these criminals face justice.

If the Senate doesn’t remove Trump, it will again boil down to us to keep him out of the White House, even if he is convicted of state crimes. Republican voters will still nominate Trump, even if he was running around with leg irons on.

He has no chance of winning a general election. It’s in their best interest to ditch the guy. Not saying they necessarily will but they should if they want to have a shot at winning in 2024.
