Thoroughly bumming myself out by reading posts like this on r/QAnonCasualities. It makes me sad how many lives this nonsense ruined. Absolutely poisonous.

(71 posts)I am a social worker and I have seen it directly impacting relationships this week to a serious degree. It is really becoming unbelievably toxic.
If relationships are starting to be impacted by this I would suggest that everyone turn off their social media and TV and try to reconnect with each other as people.
Find your shared activities and engage in them.

(2,018 posts)This is not mental illness. This is stupidity and fascism. The people who were overtaken by the Qanonsense are just showing their true colors. Its ugly to realize that you failed in raising your kid, or you were willfully blind to a spouses worst attributes. But even if they renounce it eventually, that doesnt change the fact that they happily believed in the most racist, hateful, bizarrely fictitious garbage because they wanted it to be true.
When a person shows you how awful they are, believe them.
