Chicago Tribune's Mary Schmich: Trump poem

https://www.chicagotribune.com/columns/mary-schmich/ct-met-schmich-under-siege-trump-poem-20210112-lzlpkyvq2jf3hgoqsrg4dyuuoq-story.html#nt=pf-double%20chain~mary-schmich-feed-1~feed-driven%20flex%20feature~automated~mary-schmich-river-1~LZLPKYVQ2JF3HGOQSRG4DYUUOQ~6~7~1~2~art%20yes

This is, well, it's funny, but it's also terribly frightening that something like this had to be written in the first place. Sing it to the tune of The Yellow Rose of Texas - first three verses. It goes on for another 30 verses or so.

UNDER SIEGE

I wake up in the mornings

And I can’t get out of bed

I pull the covers higher

But I can’t escape the dread.

.

I don’t know how to spend my days

I don’t know what to do

Jack took away my Twitter toy

And robbed me of my coup.

.

They stole the whole election, folks —

You know I can’t be beat —

And now the steal continues

As they tell me I can’t tweet!?!???
