We got appointments for our Covid shots!

At last! Hubby and I have appointments at Griffin Hospital in Shelton CT for Saturday the 30th, second shot Saturday Feb. 27.

Finally, supply has caught up to demand! I was amazed at how easy it was. I guess I was expecting some kind of snag.

OK, time for some ice cream as a reward for making a simple phone call! What a relief!

I’m definitely not in the first tier but I’m happy to hear that folks are able to get an appointment.

After 92 yr old gramma. My mom is so stubborn she lives in senior apt building that does meals no medical so doesn't do vaccine there, she said she is waiting for Walgreens. I really think even if offered somewhere else she wouldn't go! One of my daughters said, gramma I will call for you, to which she said I am going out to Walgreens and will talk to them. She is in bay area CA.

I am just glad she doesn't go out but rarely. I don't turn 65 till July so I expect I won't get till then.

But I made sure every place I went (physical therapy for my arthritis, food shopping, dentist, etc) I was amply masked and stayed a distance from others. But i still felt helpless and nothing helped. Now the logjam has been broken. And thank god!!!

I had to go to lab at doctors office today for checkup that will be either on phone or video. I tried to delay appt to April but I think doc wants to check because I gained weight this past year. Past month been on diet and lost 4 lbs so far. Another 10 to go...first months I ate my way through homemade goodies 🤪

What made me realize I have to go back to using my own pen, they had sign in with bucket of "clean" pens and tray for used. None were in used pile and I saw two people put back, mine was only one put on tray. Glad I bring wipes with me.

I’m in western Pennsylvania and have been trying to get an appointment since Friday when they announced those of us over 65 are now eligible. Every time appointments open up somewhere, they’re gone in minutes.

has evidently been fixed. Our governor, Ned Lamont, really aced having the state ready to take all comers in each stage, but the supply lagged behind. Now VOILA! Logjam broken!!!

How blue is your state? We have all Dems Gov., both Senators, all House members. Here in New Haven we have a Dem mayor. Everything was set and ready to go but we had some nailbiting on getting the damn vaccine!

axes were raised (BAD!) and now we were only held back by lack of vaccine. Once that kicked in we were ready. That helps get the vaccine to people FAST and orderly.

I hope this teaches them a lesson but I won't hold my breath.
