If this is actually true, then we have lost. The only option will be to agree to Mitch's demands that Democrats rule out the legislative filibuster for two years.

@bindersab
says this would end McConnell's blockade.
But @Sen_JoeManchin tells me he will not agree to that either:
I asked him about the fact that McConnell isn't letting Dems take over the majority. His answer is Schumer/McConnell have to work it out:

(11,630 posts)with Manchin and Sinema to discuss the repercussions of not using the nuclear option right away. It is bloody time these guys get on the side of democrats. Manchin doesn't have an election coming too soon and Sinema needs to understand her state is turning from purple to blue so she better get on board.

(74 posts)to advance President Biden's agenda and to pass laws. Also what Manchin just did blows up any chance of Biden getting Supreme Court nominees and other federal judicial nominees through plus FCC, NLRB, even controversial cabinet nominees through.

The OP gave me a link to prove his point that Manchin said those words. It was his twitter account and nothing about his refusing to vote. Where is the link you all are referring to?

What we're seeing here isn't achieving "operational Senate control". I just don't understand this is happening after the last four years under trump and the republicans.

It's very disappointing that some don't have more confidence in our duly elected officials.
