The American people saw what happened on January 6th.

Who are the Republican Senators trying to fool?

People saw it with their own eyes.

They know that Trump said he liked tough people, like bikers and military and general rabble-rousers. He knew who would show up in Washington when he sent out the invite for January 6th.

That was the day the Congress was to count the electoral votes and verify the new President.

Trump knew who he was inciting to violence. They were primed for it.

Now, they want people to believe they did not really see what they saw on January 6th. It was just a friendly march down to the Capitol that got out of hand. Donald Trump had nothing to do with it.

But the people know what happened.

They can continue to lie to themselves or they can face the truth.

Republicans are not interested in facing the truth, and they definitely don’t want the American people to face the truth.

He often bragged how he had those people all on his side, the bikers, the cops, the military, etc.

Back in 2019, he said "It Would Be ‘Very Bad’ if My Police, Biker Gang Fans Decided to Get ‘Tough’ on My Opponents. I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump–I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough—until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad.”

I remember the day he said that, the chills went up and down my spine.

..and not the US Senate. Because once they persuade the people, the Republican slime will follow.
