At tRumps impeachment trial.
Reading on CNN an article about this. The following is a real eye opener statement and IMHO should be the VERY REASON they must be called. Along with House members and Nancy Pelosi (whos office was ransacked and her laptop taken) and Mike Pence.
"This is an extraordinarily unique situation where the jurors are witnesses and victims, and the crime scene also is the courtroom," Swalwell added.
He also stated that they are waiting for rules surrounding this. But, when in history has anything this unique happened??? This is unprecedented- so get em on the stand!
On edit: I want to make clear I am not putting down Rep. Swalwell or the managers. My post is to point out that the situation warrants these Senators to testify under oath about what happened and who was responsible.

It doesn't matter where they do this, who is a witness or victim.
What matters are the facts and the truth, and that they speak it publicly under sworn oath for the Congressional Record.
