I didn't agree politically a lot with Bob Dole, but I respected his service to the nation.

As both a wartime service member who sacrificed for the nation and as a legislator.

I just heard he's being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

Even as a partisan Democrat, I truly believe that his loss will make the nation that less greater.

If only we had more people like Bob Dole as Senate Republicans today than we do the current crop, we would all be in a better place.

On rep ticket. They then went for batshit stupid children of privilege cult of personality.

I would have said that about Sen McCain but he picked an idiot for his running mate.

to maintain the peaceful transition of power. One of those things you take for granted until it's gone.

And yes, he also has a great sense of humor.

Here's hoping Bob Dole and family find comfort.

...his service record does not justify his republican politics which sought to deny rights, assistance, and opportunity to hundreds of millions of Americans.

All of his political subterfuge working to build the republican party we see today, maybe less undercover than in Dole's time, but just as cruel as he was when he was a Senate leader.

He endorsed Trump, ffs. Fuck this.
