Wisconsin Wolf Hunt Insanity

The goal was for taking 119 wolves (of around 1050 total) in Wisconsin during an abbreviated February hunt. The hunt ended early when 178 taken-that's nearing 20% of the entire WI population! How out of control and totally blood nuts is this!? Wisconsin's DNR has no oversight, out of state Koch funded hunting group pushed for the season, a whack nut judge sided with the group allowing the hunt. What on Earth is going on when such an egregious abuse of the court to force the hunt, the overkill, and the DNR lack of oversight. Monstrous, and sick, someone has got to be held responsible for this tragic trophy killing abuse forced on our natural resources.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) opened a season Monday that was supposed to run through Sunday, with a kill target of 119 animals.

It became clear Tuesday that hunters and trappers were on pace to exceed the limit, so the agency moved up the season's end to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

I hate this attitude towards wolves. They are such beautiful and majestic creatures. They never kill except for food and the reason they kill stock and pets is because they are being pushed out of their territory. The only time they attack humans is if they are sick, cornered or pups being threatened.

A place sorta near me 40 years ago reintroduced wolves and killing them for fun is illegal. No one has had a problem with them bothering pets, livestock, or people.

12. I have been to WI a few times....visited a couple of companies in Brookfield.

The Reps that we worked with were absolutely bonkers in their politics. Very uncomfortable hanging with them for a night of team building. Total Assholes. Glad when that was over and glad we parted ways with these dudes. The OEMs later contacted us and we did business w/o these Reps.
