Happy to report that the Moderna vaccine dose 2 was completely without side effects for me

To me, it speaks to how inevitable it is that any vaccine will give some people side effects, but that they are also quite likely quite rare.

My first shot gave me a slightly sore arm and quite a bruise (probably due more to the "skill" of the person who did the jabbing), and a bit of an "off" day after (napped a bit).

Second shot gave me even less of a sore arm, and I am now 30 hours past the injection and slept well last night, and felt fine all day - no nausea, headache, sluggishness.

About 10 hours after my second dose of Moderna, I got severe flu-like symptoms for about 12 hours. Then I was fine. My experience seems to have been extreme.

Congratulations on your full doses.

My parents who are in their 70s have now had both shots of the Pfizer. Neither had any symptoms beyond a mild sore arm for the first shot. After the second, Mom felt totally normal and Dad was a little bit weak and achey for a day or so but he slept it off with no serious problems.

I can't wait to get mine! It will be a while though, I'm in my early 50s and don't have a frontline job.
