help me earn money on the use of my precious personal information. All I had to do was
give them my precious personal information! The sad thing is that they get enough
response to things like this to make it worthwhile. Except for me. Screw them.

(38,448 posts)....In 1969, I started teaching about ..."scams"..There were some then, and there are more now...
Lots of ..."phone scams" & "other scams of all types..."....Yes 1969????
I was teaching World History..so occasionally I went off the topic to teach ..."scams".. wait a minute...
69, 79, 89, 99,09, 19....52 years ago???? can't be???...........................................
You mean there are still scams? ..
afraid so......Why?.. Scams beat working a real job, & pays more....that is Why!!!
Two other reasons...simple.....Few scammers are caught and fewer end up in prison or pay a fine

(82,849 posts)It just floors me how unsophisticated these robocall scams are. Who falls for them? Someone obviously does, or they'd dry up tomorrow.

(38,448 posts)...NOW, HOW DO I KNOW?....I got an account with them...Oh, you don't believe? of course
you don't believe.....what kind of account...??
You can get one so you can buy bonds and notes directly
from the Federal Reserve Bank in Washington D.C. I heard about that on TV, 30 years ago,
and got an account and have bought bonds and notes directly.
..Yes...same organization that prints the money....No. this is not a lie...go on line and find out the truth......
I bought a bond.....and guess what...........THE FEDERAL RESERVE NEVER CALLS, NEVER, NEVER & NEVER CALLS.. It never ever calls me, and I have an account..!!!!
IF you send them a cashiers check for a certain amount...a legal check from a bank, and you can set up an account too....I think some bonds are paying about 3%..not sure...the going rate can be found on the internet.
The Federal Reserve pays higher than most banks...and yes, it is insured...Who owns the Federal Reserve
Bank????............The United States Government own that bank.....If it goes broke...(yes, it prints the money
look at a ten dollar bill)...you go broke.....If the Federal Reserve Bank goes broke, we all go broke..
Now, how could I buy a bond from them....Banks and Savings and Loans have been buying bonds from them for many many years...In the 80s, congress passed a law that says normal people can get the same rate as the banks get...You send them a cashier's check...& set up an account...
I found the information somewhere on the internet...It is there for all of us..
as the banks get...by sending a ...cashiers check...those are pure positive checks baked by banks...
then the federal reserve knows you are real, and sets up an account that you can buy bonds & notes direct..
Yes, this is legit, look it up on the internet...They do all business by mail...with cashiers checks...& the
money, that is the interest, gets put directly into your account......
WARNING ...This is legit....You need to go to the federal reserve web site to get the information..and
ithe site is legit...or,,,,,you can get information by writing them direct, and they will send you information
if you do not wish to give them your website....Yes, this is the bank that prints the money,,,it says...
Federal Reserve Note on the 20 dollar bill and normal people can invest in that bank......If you don't believe
this look it up or ask them to send information...and they will....I think it is free, no charge for information..
after all this is our national bank...

(13,815 posts)I got a text an hour ago from the national GOper committee asking for information about me so that they could protect me from the Democrats from stealing my personal information so they won't fraudulently steal anymore elections!
What should one do?

(5,157 posts)every time because the calls/texts I get are for someone named 'Roger'. They refer to this person a lot. So, either they think I am 'Roger' or they know that some people who would never answer a normal call or text they don't recognize will usually feel the need to correct an erroneous one. I am thinking the latter myself.
(Quick aside... my name is not Roger and the only one in my entire family is on the side that I do not associate with, so yeah... second option for sure).

(38,448 posts)When you set up an account with the federal reserve....they never ask for your passcodes..
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, AND NEVER.....and they NEVER NEVER AND NEVER CALL YOU...NEVER.
I set up an account.......25 years ago....that bank never NEVER, NEVER, AND NEVER calls.
It communicates only by mail...............................................
.Originally, when you set up the account...it asks where to deposit interest...you get interest once or
twice a year...no passwords ever...& then they never contact you again unless they send you a tax notice.
Federal Reserve bank sends you a income tax note saying that it gave you so much interest and you have to declare that as income on your income tax..so they send the same info to the Internal Revenue Service.... if you lie about it they both know about that lie..
