It's through the county office of education in the next county west.
I'm eligible for Phase 1b as an in-school employee, even though I'm only part time.
Then, I heard the shuttered catholic school 4 blocks from our house is being set up as a vax site. My wife is eligible because she's 65+. (I'm not for 6 months)
Hopefully, in short order, we'll both get that level of protection.
I'm getting either Pfizer or Moderna. Those are what it shows on the form I filled out. No choice, just for med staff to fill out after the shot.

(32,878 posts)I hope they just start putting the vaccine in every individual who can find an appointment. I hope we are also going to those who have no way to go online and make an appointment or those who do not have transportation and the elderly who live in their own homes and can't get out.

(3,131 posts)We just got our first shot there after booking online. The consent forms had something about bot being able to change the appointment online if you called for the appointment.
It wouldnt surprise me if CVS was the same. The drive up site at the convention center is first come first served. No appointments, but fast. Eligibility there is tighter though b
At least in Az.

(65,111 posts)First, the place was packed. Nearly every teacher & school employee was there for either the first or second shot. (We were all supposed to get vaxxed in early February, but the county ran out. So some of us are on injection #1.). County population is around 105,000.
It was run almost exclusively by Army folks, except the actual shot giving which was being done by nurses from the local hospital.
Very well organized, highly staffed, & smooth.
There were about 20 people in line when I got there. I was out in under 45 minutes, including the "observation time" of 15 minutes.
They sent me a text with a link to register for & schedule the 2nd dose.
