COVID still affecting college basketball!

Duke has withdrawn from the rest of the NCAA tournament due to COVID issues.

Story from ESPN

I can’t believe that it won’t happen other teams. I get that the team want to play but at what cost?

One starter and a bench guy, roommates. They don't say whether they were just exposed or have the actual virus...so yes the virus is affecting the NCAA, possibly other teams not yet announced...bummer...

Second, they withdrew from the ACC tourney and forfeited the game against Fla State. Then announced they would not participate in the NCAA if invited which was unlikely cause they blew chunks this year.

Third, and most importantly, thank you Duke for setting a great example of what caring for others and putting integrity above money in sports should look like.

I know that's true of the University of Houston-saw reports on other teams too. Essentially true with Clemson and Alabama in Football playoffs. I really think some coaches really weren't concerned with transmission and would just as soon rather have an immune team at Tourney time, Many football teams blew past 50 cases before football season BEGAN.
