Mitt may no longer be the CEO of Bain, but he's a major shareholder, he can influence their decisions and he probably approved this plan. Is this Mittstake's October Surprise?

Bain is the company Romney used to work for (and that he seems to still be connected to, at least with regards to how and where he hides his wealth from taxes) that buys out companies, "harvests" the capital from them and sells them off before they go under. Clinton didn't work with such a company or loot American companies directly, to my knowledge, though he did throw bones to corporations and Blue Dogs, and he started the DLC, whose members and sympathizers attacked anyone left of center not too many elections ago. I get where you're going with it, but the Clinton's have all redeemed themselves with me through their actions of late, so I'm not complaining about them.

I was in Germany at one of my company's plants. They had a flag display which showed the EU and German flag in an inferior position to the corporate flag. I wish I had a camera to take a picture. I understand what my company was communicating (we are a large multinational with a worldwide presence, but, if I was a German citizen, I would be offended). I would also think that Germany would fly its national flag first and the EU flag second, but that is their business (kind of the reverse of our state/federal flags).

34. I think the claim that they put up a Chinese flag is wrong. I've already posted replies about

this in two other topics on this story, in LBN and GD.

A Chinese flag was put up across the street from the Freeport Sensata plant, but according to a Daily Kos story, it was brought in by a protester, and in a YouTube video from the Steelworkers, you can see that flag about a minute and a half into the video -- the flag is next to some protest signs.

Later in the same video, about three and a half minutes in, they're talking about the Sensata plants in China, and they show those plants, which do have the Chinese flag flying -- on Chinese soil.

I think what's happened is that people confused the video images of the Chinese plants with the plant in Freeport.

As I've said elsewhere, it's bad enough that they took down the US flag for a time.

Let's not weaken this story with a claim that isn't true.
