She's so nervous, and has none of the glibness or experience speaking in front of people that even the dispatcher has. The defense attorney is having to work hard. It'll be interesting to see how he maneuvers, and how the defense does as well.
I assume there's going to be a lot of this, with various people and personalities. It's going to be a master class in courtroom procedures of a certain kind--eyewitness accounts.
On edit: Sorry, got my prosecutor and defense attorneys mixed up. First up is prosecutor.

(14,088 posts)I wonder if she was this difficult to interview before the trial. Might just be nerves.

(13,902 posts)went from thinking she was an idiot at first to feeling sorry for the poor kid. She doesn't want to be there; she can't think straight; and she's self conscious about her appearance. But I loved her line "you mean when they jacked him out of the car?"

The current witness is very anxious and nervous. I thought the attorney was very understanding with her.

(41,991 posts)Takes a lot of confidence and the ability to focus. I wasn't surprised when she said she hadn't noted the crowd, that she was focused on Chauvin and it felt wrong in her gut.
