(14,178 posts)simply because the hosts are telling them it is. They won't take even a moment to ponder it.
Because it goes along with the other cult behaviours. Tax breaks for the wealthiest which the struggling average American or his children, will have to pay for? Fox News says.....Great!
Start to build a giant beautiful wall along the southern border which the Mexican rapists and murderers will pay for? Fox News says.....Great!
Call white supremacists "very good people". Call the insurrectionists "special" and downplay their crimes. Fox News says.....Great!
COVID is a Democratic hoax, so I don't need to wear an uncomfortable mask. Fox News says.....Great!

(11,572 posts)I'd be careful, were I you. Generally speaking, people are FOR affordable places to live, and AGAINST violence in their neighbourhoods. I have no idea why there would be a slash between "Elderly" and "People," but I'd be doubly careful there.
Elderly people are pretty much your demographic, no?

(17,353 posts)Then again FQX probably can't find anything else to point at. GO JOE!
So, the fox fake news demographic includes people opposed to:
care for the elderly (including old white people)
affordable housing (btw, this includes poor white people)
education (again, believe some white folks attend community college)
community violence prevention (one more time, white people are among those subject to violence in some communities)
Well, okey-dokey. Good to know.

(6,225 posts)They're really valuable for lower middle class and lower class students that can't afford to go away to school right out of high school.
Bfesides, anyone looking to hire someone only looks at the last school the person got a degree from.
I think $12B is, if anything, a bit light.
And then there's the other points mentioned. Who is not for that stuff!?
Jeez! Are these priorities out of whack with what most Americans want?
I think not!

(16,541 posts)Billions of $$ for such fripperies as elder care, affordable housing, community colleges, and violence prevention? Please tell me it isn't true!
How dare those dastardly Democrats suggest such horrors! Quick, someone fetch me my smelling salts! I'm feeling faint! *swoons*

(82,849 posts)It's like they haven't even tried giving more tax cuts to the wealthy. How do they know it won't work to cut taxes on the wealthy? I have a real good feeling that this time around, if the government would just pour every last spare dime in the Treasury into the pockets of the wealthy, we'd get improved roads, better school buildings, pipes and plumbing would magically restore themselves, and people would get good jobs at good wages.
Isn't it worth it to try one more time instead of doing crazy stuff like doing it through public works programs?
