This AM. we got an e-mail from Pfizer stating , WE have been trying to contact you for a survey how you did with the vaccine. The thing is we DID NOT get the Pfizer, we got the Moderna. I DID NOT answer this because of maybe another scam starting up? Not sure. Anybody else have this happen to them? Just checking.

(13,975 posts)probably don't respond since you got the Moderna. It's likely just a mistake.

I think you made a good decision.

(115,683 posts)I signed up for the CDc survey (vsafe.cdc.gov) and they texted me afterwards asking about symptoms but I have not heard from Pfizer directly.

(115,683 posts)it sounds sketchy. You probably did get some info about CDC's survey regarding after-effects, but you have to sign up for that (they send you text messages with brief questions). I got Pfizer and did not hear from them.

(34,195 posts)I participate in the V-safe After Vaccination Health Checker
V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Through v-safe, you can quickly tell CDC if you have any side effects after getting a COVID-19 vaccine. Depending on your answers to the web surveys, someone from CDC may call to check on you and get more information. V-safe will also remind you to get your second COVID-19 vaccine dose if you need one.
Note: V-safe cannot schedule COVID-19 vaccination appointments, including second dose appointments if required. If you need to schedule, reschedule, or cancel a COVID-19 vaccination appointment, contact the location that set up your appointment or a vaccination provider in your area. This may be your state or local health department, employer, or vaccination provider.

(2,592 posts)Also suggest you carefully check the email address of Pfizer...there is probably a misspelling but it looks correct. Do not reply.

(22,252 posts)Both vaccines were being given here eventually but for a short time only Pfizer. The two formulas went out through different distribution lines, but the original emails did not specify what vaccine one would receive until the second one was added.
We did receive surveys from the county health department about the quality of service, wait time, and so on.

(31,261 posts)Now that you have informed us, I will be aware. I am in the middle of my two shot journey right now. If Pfizer sent the survey request, maybe it doesnt do it with first shots?

(17,434 posts)I've received multiple "survey" emails for all three vaccines at email addresses that were not used for scheduling a vaccination, so they are obvious scams.
I did receive a genuine email from the pharmacy (CVS) to rate their services.

(21,714 posts)I got emails from pfizer and moderna before I was even eligible for the vaccine. I trashed it, don't know what they were looking for, but I'm sure there was a piece of information they wanted to scam you with

(145,168 posts)One scam is you do a survey and they will offer a prize but you have to pay for shipping in advance.

(24,695 posts)and why would they want to know, it was done when you went to get the shots or if you are preparing to get the shots, the data base goes to the CDC and Department of Heath to monitor what is going on and at the state level......this is a scam.......
