Vox: “The very actions that got Greene kicked off her committee assignments and drew the ire of House Democrats helped boost her national name recognition — and led to a great deal of coverage in conservative media. Greene’s popularity among Republicans went up 11 percentage points in the days following the vote, with 30 percent of GOP voters viewing her favorably, according to a Politico/Morning Consult poll.”

“Ultimately, Green’s big fundraising haul is a reminder that gaining notoriety on conservative media — rather than making efforts to pass meaningful legislation — is what holds real value in the modern Republican Party.”

She's from Alpharetta, which is nowhere near the 14th District. The reason she ran for that seat is because she stood no chance at all of winning an election in an Atlanta suburb.

Let's hope her Congressional career is similar to Allen West. One term and then a footnote. Ditto The Rootin' Tootin' Nitwit from the Western Slope of Colorado.

These types are so fucking stupid it's scary, but what is even scarier is that people take them seriously.

They have no real policy prescriptions to help the average American, including their own voters. Republicans are the party of the wealthy. They certainly embrace the idea of White Supremacy, but that is secondary to the concentration of wealth, as is the concept of Christian Dominion. Both are powerful influences within the party, but again, they are used to rally support for the Party, and the focus will be on moving money into the hands of the wealthy.

Republicans know that they can't keep winning like that, which is why they are always so focused on electoral tricks and voter suppression.
