This morning I walked down to our CVS Pharmacy (less than a quarter mile from me) for my 90-day supply of blood pressure and cholesterol prescriptions.
I went in the door, and there was a guy set up at a table with a stack of cards. He greeted me and offered me an appointment for the Pfizer vaccine! A three minute walk! I already got my first Moderna shot 2 weeks ago and my wife is getting a 1-shot J&J shot Sunday, so we couldn't take him up on the offer.
After months of fretting about getting an appointment and getting the vaccine, this is where we are now. Local pharmacies all over the state (CT) now have the vaccine. Between President Biden and our Governor Lamont, we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. How great is this?

(83,752 posts)My niece, an ICU nurse has been volunteering to administer shots in her spare time. She feels like she is giving back to the community that has lost so many loved ones. She knows since she watched so many die.
Last week she gave 60 shots in just over 60 minutes. That tells you how many are eager to vaccinate.
VACCINATE! CONTINUE TO WEAR A MASK. WASH YOUR HANDS!
