Schumer

Its now time for Schumer to create the "Democratic good faith Handshake committee". He needs to announce Manchin will head it up, and staff it with people of his choosing. He needs to get to the podium and state that Manchin is the perfect guy for the job, that he's sure Manchin will easily sway many Republicans to come to our Democratic ideas. Then thank Manchin for his optimism, and tell him to start tomorrow on finding all those easily swayed republicans!!

In other words, flip the fucking script! Do this and let Manchin personally get doors slammed in his fucking face!

he hangs the voting rights legislation from a tree. Kinda like when he shot that prop stack of papers, that was supposed to be carbon trading. Or whatever the fuck it was.

Like his background check bill with John Thune after Sandy Hook. Told Obama/Biden that THIS was the bill that would pass without a doubt, even though it did so very little. Successful beyond our wildest dreams!

is to have Manchin be the one vote that kills a popular piece of legislation and then it's up to the people of W. Va. to put the heat on him. Democrats from other states are not going to be as likely to sway him.

you vote for the bill. Details should matter. No more taking credit for projects you voted against. There must be a way to do this, maybe with earmarks.

10. I agree. Manchin needs to find those Republicans that are willing to compromise himself.

If he can't, Then work with Schumer to get extra WV infrastructure projects for himself and tell WV voters "look what I did for you", with the Democratic party's help. It is not rocket science. It is old school politics.

An go further, let Manchin work on legislation really hard, let him get this committee to help him write a solid piece of bipartisan legislation, let him invest weeks or months of his time on it. And then let him see that zero Republicans will vote for it.

You could literally let the GOP write a bill and they would still vote against it right now, there is no working together.
