(11,023 posts)Especially in a badly worded OP that seems to imply that it's bad that the MN National Guard was called out when the DC Guard wasn't.

(23,926 posts)I read the OP as an obvious rebuke to the malfeasance by the Trump administration on January 6.

(32,858 posts)They wouldnt have ignored the Intel and the guard would have already been at the capitol too.

(53,032 posts)Therefore the rest of your argument is all over the map.
Yes, the delay in deploying the guard in DC amounted to treason. That has nothing to do with the speed of guard being deployed in Brooklyn Center because the guard was already deployed in the area.
On the other hand, you argue against deployment of the guard by pointing to behavior of police (rubber bullets, etc.), which also makes no sense.

(32,858 posts)In DC. The guard is in Minneapolis because of tue trial. The insurrections should have been met with the DC Guard and the same gas and rubber bullets they met BLM with last summer.
iemanja
(53,032 posts)but more so since BLM never tried to overthrow the US government.

(57,446 posts)it's a matter of jurisdiction. The DC National Guard is under the jurisdiction of ...
checking ...
The District of Columbia National Guard is the branch of the United States National Guard based in the District of Columbia. It comprises both the D.C. Army National Guard and the D.C. Air National Guard components.
The president of the United States is the commander-in-chief for the District of Columbia National Guard. Command is exercised through the Secretary of Defense and the commanding general, Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), District of Columbia National Guard. The Secretary of Defense has delegated his command authority to the Secretary of the Army for the District of Columbia Army National Guard and the Secretary of the Air Force for the District of Columbia Air National Guard. The District of Columbia National Guard is commanded by a major general with a brigadier general as his or her adjutant general. The mayor of the District of Columbia, the United States marshal for the District of Columbia, or the National Capital Service director may request the commander-in-chief to aid them in suppressing insurrection and enforcement of the law; however, there is no chain of authority from the District of Columbia to the D.C. National Guard.

(32,858 posts)Black protestors are treated than white. No fruit, just a fact. The fact is everyone knew the insurrectionists were coming. Just like they know the verdict could cause unrest.
