(21,385 posts)word has it that Roberts is delaying it until fall if it takes the bill up at all. Outlawing abortion after 15 weeks may not pass this far right court.

(8,086 posts)FDR floated the same idea (and for the same reason: the conservative Court was mired in the legal consensus of the 19th century) and faced a tremendous backlash which most likely cost Democrats and liberals seats in both Houses.
Better to wait.

We play nice and they kick us to the curb.
It just isnt right or fair.

(32,626 posts)taking a yes/no position makes sense. Prioritizing makes sense too. Too many balls in the air, you can mess things up. Especially with some members who like to put the brakes on progress.
