After Fox News host and scurrilous racist advocate Tucker Carlson doubled down on his support of the white nationalist great replacement conspiracy theory this week, prominent white nationalists across America expressed glee at what they saw as a possible mass radicalization event.
This week Tucker redpilled 4 million people and theres nothing liberals can do about it, Nick Fuentes, the Holocaust-denying leader of the America First movement tweeted Monday night. (Being redpilled, or taking the red pill, is far-right lingo for adopting a white nationalist worldview.)
VDare, a well-known white nationalist website, gushed over Carlsons monologue like a proud parent.

This segment is one of the best things Fox News has ever aired and was filled with ideas and talking points VDARE.com pioneered many years ago, the websites account tweeted. You should watch the whole thing.

All strong Republicans. Charlie was Ambassador to the Court of St. James under Reagan, I think.

(9,897 posts)That comes straight out of 1999's "The Matrix" (Morpheus giving Neo the choice of the "truth" in a red pill or "going back to sleep" with a blue pill). They are also using superhero references to Thanos by trying to claim they are "inevitable".
These are not serious people, they are clowns and disgruntled rejects.
There is no actual governing philosophy beyond a Mel Gibson as William Wallace scream of "Freedom!" without definition or even understanding of what true freedoms are or how their captive minds are used by the powers they clamor for - like it that must never be named. (yes...that is an intentionally ironic movie reference, or literary if you prefer the books about Harry Potter instead!).
The truth is the same now as it was when they formed the "Tea Party" in 2009/2010 - they are all bigots that lie to themselves and each other, misappropriate words and concepts like 'freedom', 'patriotism' and 'honor' and then stew in their own luxurious hate broth while shrieking about "losing their country" and "if we don't do X, then we won't have a country anymore" and similar bile crap.
These people are armed, but they are dangerous to themselves more than to the rest of us. The craven GOP hopes to once again harness the hate bull and charge to another spell in charge , where they will do the same thing again (cut taxes, cut regulations of industry and money and hate minorities) and expect different results.
Trickle down bullshit has been measured and found wanting. GOP base voters are more of the same...wanting, in every possible meaning.

(7,733 posts)The well-heeled red crowd, and they certainly know who they are, depend on these dog-whistling, bar-talk spewing fake good old boy influencers to corral all the bigoted dipshits Republicans need to win.
Some day, which may be perilous to all, (the selfish bastards) they may get way more than they bargained for. The Bunker Billionaires may feel smug, but they really shouldnt.

(10,231 posts)Flying flags from their pickups and building an arsenal at home, their idea of patriotism is derived from Hollywood movies. I ran across an article about Medal of Honor winner and former US senator Inouye earlier today. Why is it that so few rethugs actually served yet they try to claim the mantle of patriotism?
