Tell me,Would things be different if COVID-19 would have KILLED everyone that got it?
Sometimes i catch myself thinking, (God dam i wish these ASSHOLES would just die) Someday though the new scary variants probably WILL do just that. We'll see.

3. No, there's still some seriously stupid people out there.
The last pandemic we had that killed 50,000,000 people, there were science deniers and virus hoaxers then, too. So yeah... 100 years later, nothing has changed. Hell, this shit has been going on since the plague times.

4. Yes. Mainly, I think, it would have resulted in people
taking it very seriously a whole lot sooner.
As it is, the death rate is relatively low. The real impact seems to be -- and we're still early enough in that a lot is still unknown -- the long termers, as well as the fact that many of those seemingly fully recovered still have various long term issues. |

6. Agree!
This VIRUS is so strange, that i think it would take time BUT they would FINALLY see the light!

5. Of course. It'd be entirely different if it killed children, for instance.
Or if the 80% who died if they got it were young to middle aged adults rather than elderly.
The only speculation would be how much higher a death rate might have made what the Republicans/Trump did impossible, but for sure the same @1% would have done the job if it was killing children and young adults. Probably less, though. Just think how terrifying. |

9. Yes that too.
Clearly for some reason it doesn't affect the younger folks as much. THAT i'm sure would have been a game changer!!

Just thinking how different it would be if this was a KILLER virus for ALL!

13. If COVID-19 killed everyone that got it, less people may have died.
Viruses with very high mortality rates tend not to spread far.

19. A disease like Ovid, where people are infectious before they even get symptoms,
could spread far even if everybody who gets it eventually dies.

15. 32,200,000 cases in the US. Almost 10% of US.
That's alot of jobs gone, things not getting done, including critical services. Might have climate consequences.

16. It was taken much more serious when there were mass graves in NYC
And refer trucks brought in to store body bags. No one was bitching about shut downs then. They just demanded toilet paper, mask and hand sanitizer.

17. A Covidiot I know told me he would have taken it more seriously if millions were dying
He said, "You know, like in that movie, Contagion." But I seriously doubt that. He probably still would have been running around without a mask and saying it was just the flu.

20. True IF they acted the same way. BUT
I'm thinking if they saw people dying, they would be more acceptable to the vaccine! People were and ARE so DUMB. That's why i believe, like someone in this thread mentioned, that if they saw more people dying the VACCINE would have been taken more to heart!
