Fact: Boehner played a leadership role in making sure no gun laws were passed. Period.

Need another reason to despise this guy?

FRUSTRATING STUFF:

And the press is still giving the GOP a pass for its gun obstruction under Obama.

On Sunday, former Speaker of the House John Boehner was asked about the lack of reform following Sandy Hook. He gave a pointless answer about how, “We couldn’t find common ground with the other side,” which CNN host Dana Bash politely accepted.

I haven't forgotten how much I despised him when he was Speaker. It doesn't do a helluva lot of good for him to have a change of heart now.

He's just trying to sell his book. I doubt he really developed a soul.

continuing to point it out! I don't think much of Dana Bash or most of the U.S. media either.
Thanks for the reminder!

don't amuse me or make him "endearing" or in any way absolve him of his own guilt in making our nation what it is today.

Too little, too late.

He's trying to absolve himself of responsibility for what he enabled and endorsed.

And we're not part of the club. In granting himself absolution for his actions, he also absolves his pals in the media who supported him during his time in office. The little quips and comments are in jokes among folks who were all working together. It's like going to your spouse's reunion (assuming you both didn't go to the same high school). Somebody says, "Onion," and everyone busts up laughing.

Boehner and his media cronies are having a pleasant reminiscence over old times where people died by the bushel basket, and while we're looking at the bodies, they're having a chuckle over the expression on the corpse's face.

laughing because he's being "mean" to Ted Cruz.

But, I do get your point and I hadn't thought of it that way.
