Gender reveal explosion at New Hampshire quarry rattles towns in 2 states

https://www.oregonlive.com/living/2021/04/gender-reveal-explosion-at-new-hampshire-quarry-rattles-towns-in-2-states.html

A family is accused of using explosives at a New England quarry to announce the sex of their baby, rocking several towns from New Hampshire all the way down to Massachusetts in the process, according to news outlets.

Neighborhoods in multiple communities in southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts were rattled by the mysterious explosion Tuesday night, NBC Boston reported.

According to the news outlet, police in the town of Kingston in the Granite State confirmed the explosions were caused by the family revealing the gender of their baby.

The blast was reported at Torromeo Industries on Dorre Road around 7 p.m. Tuesday, Kingston Police Chief Donald Briggs told NBC Boston. Authorities believe Tannerite explosives were used legally and that the people who set off the blast had permission to be on the property, according to the news outlet.

The explosion rattled homes within a 20-mile radius of the Kingston quarry. No injuries were reported. Police are currently looking for those involved, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported.

Except for maybe the grandmas, no one else cares what set of genitals your kid has.

Not even a little bit. Stop blowing shit up.

look down right reasonable. It's a pregnancy, maybe start thinking along the line of "is it good for children" before you want to blow stuff up.

People, we understand. You are so proud of yourselves for having sex and making a baby. Yay! You have joined the successful billions who came before you. Get over it and get over yourselves. The whole gender reveal thing is insane. Bake a cake, throw in a dash of food coloring. Break out a few party noisemakers and confetti. DONE.

have been this unique!!! Yes, yes, we are having a BABY!!! YES, we know!!! Using ONLY our bodies that have been genetically designed and refined to carry out exactly this function for millions of years, we have done the most unique thing ever: adding another human to the 7+ billion with a B already here!!! Can you believe it?

We will celebrate this announcement by exploding some toxic chemicals! You can join us or not, but you will be aware of it regardless! Just listen for the BANG!!!”

the little urchin is born...the labor and delivery nurses love it. I gave birth to my son at 41...the nurses and support staff were quite attentive due to my age but when they found out we didn’t know the gender, they were so excited with and for us.

for her first two, both boys. She desperately wanted a girl this time. She decided not to find out ahead of time for the third, which turned out to be a girl. She cracked us up when she told us when the little nugget was born and they told her it was a girl, she said, “No way! It can’t be a girl! Keep looking, there has to be a penis somewhere.” Her husband was the only male in the room, and the nurse said, “Weeeellllll..there is one, but it belongs to your husband”

Maybe dye a river blue or pink. Or maybe Hire Pink or Blue Oyster Cult to play at the reveal. Honestly, they need to get more creative.

attention to themselves? When people just learned the gender of their baby, and maybe told some relatives so they could buy pink or blue gifts for the shower, and started narrowing down baby names, and...well, that was it, basically? Why are we so narcissistic now? "LOOOOOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
