during his nomination, Kavanaugh argued that he shouldnt be held accountable for something he did as a teenager
today, he ruled that teenagers should be imprisoned for life without a chance for parole
Yes, Kavanaugh denied the allegations. But he said he shouldnt be judged for his *general behavior* from that period of his life as well.
His defenders explicitly said he shouldnt be judged for his behavior as a youth!
Kavanaugh allegations: Is what someone does at age 17 relevant?

(16,437 posts)He makes my skin crawl. He's just downright fucking gross.
Gorsuch is the only one of Chump and Yertle's picks who is worth a hill of beans. Of course, he's too conservative, but he at least seems to be competent. Coney Barrett doesn't know her ass from her elbow, and Kavanaugh is a skeevy pervert.
doesn't have that smug entitlement that Kavanaugh and Caney Barrett have. Sometimes I think that is what I hate the most about them - even if they are qualified, getting on the Supreme Court is a bit lucky. Those two act as if luck or connections had nothing to do with it. Not an ounce of humility (Bush was the same way). It shows an epic lack of self and cultural awareness and means they also lack an ounce of compassion or caring. The ultimate privilege.

(32,659 posts)Kavanaugh thinks "boys will be boys" - when they are white.
But when they are black or brown, it's "lock them up for the rest of their lives."

Funnily enough, that silly expression is totally true. She claims to be 5', but I have my doubts. BUT...she ran track and did long jump (!!!) in school, did kickboxing for a while, and was the county weight record holder for female military press. If she can't convince you with knowledge and facts, she will beat you into submission. Nah, but it's fun to say.

(90,775 posts)it has its own smell. Doesn't understand that his smell is putrid to those of us not privileged.
That privilege comes with the belief that, somehow, you're better than most everyone else regardless of what crimes you might have committed. Of course your equally privileged friends are the same as you. Good people from good families - no matter what crime they commit.
His privilege tells him his actions were fun and games, no harm to anyone.
And it tells him that most anyone else, those not reeking of privilege, who committed those same actions did mean harm. They do deserve prison. They're bad people.
Kavanaugh is a piece of shit.
