Yes, sometimes I am critical of the Democratic Party tactics

It’s because I am tired of getting beat by Republicans (and I am not just talking about elections...it’s bigger than just that)...Hell, even when we win elections, it’s seems like things are on their terms...For the last 30 years (maybe longer) Republicans have lied, cheated, manipulated, backstabbed, and more without any consequences, but we Democrats are held to higher standard, not only by the media, but by ourselves...and the Republicans know that and have built that into their constant terrible behavior...it’s like they know we won’t stop them or match their behavior....and it’s always us that have to moderate or compromise...for the last 30 years we have been playing two different games....we have been playing checkers by the rules, and they have been been playing chess and cheating.

that is willing to help them sabotage our progress. Always.

We're seeing it again with the inability to get SB1 passed. If people aren't able to vote D, we'll never again control any part of government.

I get attacked a lot on here by the same people (I usually just ignore them and don’t respond; don’t even know why they are always looking at my posts if they don’t like me)....but I do get a lot Recs on my posts, so I guess a lot of people on here do agree with me

Our nation is at stake.

I share your feelings about these damned professionals who call themselves experts. It's as if they only get stupider with more education and experience, but a few impressively successful demonstrations will be lessons we can all learn from.

Obviously a blue district wouldn't provide the lesson needed, but the kind of firm, effective action you'd take in your own district might then be written up as a NYT op ed to tell them, and the nation, what works.

Fortunately, you don't have to be in office to be a political leader, and being free of leadership control would actually be an advantage, perhaps necessary, in taking action on your ideas.

Good luck.

from posting those opinions here, as many seem to equate constructive criticism with attacking, and will really go after you.

Yes, there are other things we can & should do, but if we lose the messaging battle & allow the GOP to set the narrative, if we allow them to define what is "true" & "real" & "right," we lose the war.

And yes, it is a war, a war of words & ideas, being fought for the hearts & minds of the American people. We have plenty of ammunition, we just need to use it effectively & continuously.

...that will reliably press an agenda, and successful messaging in any one corner of it gets echoed pretty fast.

We mostly rely on the mainstream media, which is anything but reliable, and a very anemic messaging system with little in the way of support or promotion.

Good messaging has often been swatted away when it comes from non-insider precincts.

And as an old broad who went to school when Mass Com was journalism, watching and marching and being royally pissed off much of my life, I have to say that Jen Psaki is our most efficient weapon in dealing with all this. They (we know who they are) HAVE to take part in the white house pressers and when they do she shuts them down every single time. They HAVE to watch her but we don't HAVE to watch fux etc because they say the same thing in different words all the time. After a while, even the most masochistic pseudo-journalist will have to get tired of being slapped around every single time. It just takes a little patience. As Unka Joe might say, "we got this."
