I think of Opus Dei like Wahhabi Islam, Evangelical Christian, or Orthodox Jew, not really a mind set but a conservative outlier of part of an organized religion. I believe he is a reform Jew, kind of the opposite of what I think of Opus Dei.

Thankfully, my incorrect spelling was not quite wasabi but still wrong and corrected. I think of Wahhabi Islam similar to Orthodox Judaism. I am not a religious scholar so some here may take offense but ……, I am always open to further education.

...and it ain’t Jewish.

People can be a lot of things, like dupes, tools, agents, and fellow-travellers — but they don’t get to be invited into Opus Dei unless they swear to uphold the beliefs, motives, actions, and goals of a very small sect of Roman Catholicism founded by a rather dodgy priest (not the Pope).

Separation of Church and State? Pfft. The Work of God (which is what Opus Dei means) is above all that piffle. That’s why it matters that the hard-right shift of the members of the SCOTUS is powered not by friendly, rational, Average Joe Catholics who think secular society is a healthy thing, but by people JFK would not have wanted to be associated with when he was laying out his case for running for President..

Seriously, words have real meaning.

Rosentstein is the one who stopped Mueller from following Other Guy's financial ties. Mueller thought the FBI was following up, FBI thought he was. Which is odd, because it was always about the money, and servicing a debt. Rosenstein certainly accomplished keeping HIS pension safe, if nothing else. May 2021

Rosentein gave a fawning, revolting speech praising Dear Leader for his Charlottesville response, and it received almost no coverage at the time. (He has always been a despicable weasel.) I first shared the speech (below) in 2018, and because I expressed my (justifiable) concerns about him, one poster asked if I was "comfortable" aligning myself with Gowdy and Jordan "in smearing and attempting to discredit Rosenstein":

Rosenstein praises ‘Lincolnesque’ Trump
Wednesday, May 9, 2018

Embattled Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told a Washington audience Sunday that President Donald Trump’s words after last year’s deadly white supremacist march in Charlottesville represented a message of unity that needed to be heard during a divisive period in American history.

Following the murder of a counterprotester by a white nationalist, Trump said, “You had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. … You also had some very fine people on both sides.”

“President Trump recognized last August that no matter the color of our skin, we all live under the same laws, we all salute the same great flag and we are all made by the same almighty God,” Rosenstein said at the Anti-Defamation League’s annual leadership summit...

Rosenstein said Trump’s call for more tolerance after the Charlottesville rally resembled President Abraham Lincoln’s 1861 inaugural address. In that speech, the 16th president urged unity despite bitter divisions between the North and the South over slavery.

“Lincoln insisted his opponents were not enemies, because we were all Americans,” Rosenstein said. “He concluded his inaugural address by appealing to the better angels of our nature. President Trump echoed that statement with his remarks last summer of ‘we must rediscover the bonds of love and loyalty that bring us together as Americans.’”...

“When victims are attacked because of their race, religion, gender or sexual orientation, there are laws that empower [the Justice Department] to respond,” he said. “Enforcing those laws is important to President Trump and Attorney General Sessions.”

Here's the meat of it though.

The emails show not only that the authors and the recipients of the memorandum are working hand in hand to craft the advice that is supposedly being delivered by OLC, but that the letter to Congress is the priority, and it is getting completed first. At 2:16 pm on Sunday, March 24, the Attorney General’s Chief of Staff advises the others: “We need to go final at 2:25 pm,” and Rod Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General, summons everyone at 2:27 pm...

I have just begun to dig into Judge Jackson's ruling re: the March 24, 2019 Memo on prosecuting Trump for obstruction. It looks very bad for Rod Rosenstein. I have always been ready to change opinions in light of evidence. This is evidence.

First, these are the most concerning facts re: Rod Rosenstein yet. The memo was partly authored by his deputy, and is signed off by him on it's way to Barr. Image

The Principal Associate Deputy AG Edward O'Callaghan that drafted this is a person you may recognize, and who I have long suggested people take a look at. I have always wondered why the Twitter hate machine did not even bother to ask who he was. Image

The implications of Mr. O'Callaghan being a dangerous political hack (or worse) are deeply worrying. Trump appointed him to head the DOJ's National Security Division in 2017.

Ed O'Callaghan - Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_O%27Callaghan

His prior claim to fame is as Sara Palin's "Truth" Squad, but he had NATSEC experience at SDNY. Image

And this also leads back to RR. At least according to the press - O'Callaghan was RR's hand-picked selection to handle the Russian Investigation.

Rosenstein gets new top deputy for Russia probe - CNN Politics
https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/03/politics/rosenstein-russia-ed-ocallaghan/index.html

This is damning. Image

With that out of the way, let's take a look at what Judge Jackson concludes about this memo: SHE VIEWS IT AS AN AFTER-THE-FACT COVER UP OF A DECISION BARR HAD ALREADY MADE.
https://www.citizensforethics.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/show_public_doc.pdf

And she believes the authors KNEW it was an after the fact cover up of a decision Barr had already made. This paints the the authors and Barr in a terrible-to-criminal light, and puts RR dead smack in the middle of that.

Image

This indicates that the RR, O'Callaghan, and the Office of Legal Counsel were ALL working together with Barr to craft the "no obstruction" narrative. This is a horrifying betrayal by DOJ leadership. Image

And when I say horrifying. I mean HORRIFYING. Image

And here it is - I am out of the RR fan club. It's over. THEY WERE ALL IN ON IT. Image

We now know that SC Mueller's push back against Barr's March 24, 2019 letter was PUSHING BACK AGAINST THE WHOLE OF THE DOJ'S LEADERSHIP. They were ALL in on the scam.

I am quite literally feeling sick and numb. Image

This is what I never wanted to believe - that the Deputy AG, the AG, and the Office of Legal Counsel would all conspire to depth charge Mueller. I feel sick.

I have been low-key frustrated with AG Garland's deliberate pace. I now understand that the issues are so much bigger than I imagined even in my most Dark Dirk moments.

I had always wondered how it came to be that Mueller's report actually conformed to what Trumpists had been saying for over a year - "No obstruction, no collusion." Now we know and it's even worse than I thought.

Please don't tag me with "I knew from the blank stare." Smart people don't know anything from blank stares ... see, poker.
For me personally, the depth of this betrayal is on par with the insurrection of January 6th. We are going to need a Special Counsel to investigate the entire DOJ leadership.

Among the things that most scare me is that the person that was the 2017 head of the DOJ National Security Division was ready and willing to commit crimes for Trump. That's fxed up.

I understand the "I told you so" takes, but this actually contradicts a lot of the twitter RR narrative. He was not a coward; not a puppet. He was the primary architect of the evil; he elevated the already compromised head of the NATSEC Div to help. And set the table for Barr.
