Talk about having anxiety since I'm already afraid of needles and worry about feeling bad afterwards. But first is done.

(26,587 posts)Don't let anyone make you feel bad about it. Just think of it as a "war wound" in the battle against Covid.
Hope that any after effects are minimal.

(38,317 posts)I hate needles too.
I've ripped a few needles out of myself in medical misadventures of past six decades. AMA.
Got both shots.
Second shot wasn't nothing.
The day after second shot wasn't fun, I mostly slept, too hot or too cold with a headache and familiar arthritis at level ten.
But I'm still here, and now much less worried this virus will kill me.

(57,102 posts)I actually felt my shoulder rise from it.
The second shot was even more of lifting.
Good for you! I know how tough it is for some of us to consider an injection.

Gave me a little kick.

(113,336 posts)something I read here over the weekend, about 30 per cent experience no reaction. May you be in that group.
Hydrate well. Eat good food.
Another thing I learned here. Moving, swinging, stretching your arm immediately after the shot helps. I did stretches during the waiting period. The jabber said it was an excellent idea.
