On Wednesday morning, amid mass gas shortages caused by a pipeline shutdown and panic buying, a man drove around a Georgia town looking to fill up his trucks tank.
But unlike motorists up and down the East Coast, he didnt wait in line for hours at a gas station in his Ford F-series pickup.
Instead, he headed for a line of parked U-Haul trucks in Griffin, Ga., and drilled holes in the tanks spilling up to 45 gallons of gas before fleeing the scene.
While we understand that there is a shortage on gas, we also want to remind everyone to exercise safety, patience and common sense, the city of Griffin Police Department said in a statement on the incident. The shortage is temporary and we anticipate the gas stations returning to full operations soon. In the meantime, remain calm and dont do anything to endanger yourself and others.

When has this ever happened? Ever?? Most of the police, rescue and fire personnel would be unnecessary if just half of the population did this...

(16,192 posts)that stopped working before the warranty period was up. His plan was to pour the gas left in it's tank down the sanitary sewer line.
those fumes could have taken out a city block and done so much damage.
I actually had to take the item away from him and pour the gas into a funneled canister and used paper towels to get the last drops out of the tank.
The store didn't want any gas in returns if you're wondering.
