Isn't being civil and polite to ranting RWNJs sort of like "tolerating intolerance"?

Does this not, at some point, allow them to use our reluctance to respond in kind to defeat us in the courtroom of public opinion?

I'm sure many will see this as totally inappropriate, but it would warm the cockles of my heart to hear some Trumpian whore like Cruz---as he begins to preach about how a "healthcare decision" about masking or vaccination is "personal" and no business of the government---get LOUDLY and IRATELY interrupted with "Sit down and shut up, you lying hypocrite! Or are you now PRO-CHOICE?"

My mother taught me to "turn the other cheek". After a year or so in public school getting my butt kicked, my father taught me that there are but four "cheeks" on a human body---and he taught me how to make a fist.

Both lessons were useful.

And discernment and knowledge about abusers and what to do about them, If needed make a fist and use it until the bully stops being abusive and either stops, runs away or submits..

Bullies usually are chickenshit.

There is nothing gained by tolerating the intolerable.

Seems to me there's a point at which civility & politeness has exhausted its authority & power.
To someone who uncompromisingly sees every opposing viewpoint as the enemy's words, civility is already pointless. It becomes appeasement.
Let them rant; let them think they make sense; let them think we're wrong. But, we're not!
Playing nice has not worked with this crowd. The more dems reached out, the more inflexible they became.
At some point, fire with fire becomes appropriate.

If we did the same, then we are as crazy as they are. But we could politely point out they've lost their minds rather than respond as if they had a valid opposing viewpoint.

RWNJs. We might stand a better chance of changing the individual mind by being polite. But these
people are dangerous in groups and the mailed fist in a velvet glove might be best for them.
