Am I the only DU person who is too nervous to watch the debates?

Call me a coward, wimp, etc. I just cannot watch it live!

I hang out here looking at comments!

Did the same in 2008!

Weird I know, so no insult will be countered or alerted!

but I know I will. But I absolutely refuse to watch the pundits afterwards. I don't need anyone telling me how the President performed . . . I can decide for myself and I'm tired of their spin!

I had a party for and enjoyed watching VP Biden stomp the crap out of that lying POS but it was for amusement purposes only as far as I'm concerned. Debates, in my mind, are for those who are undecided and I suspect that there are very few of those this election.

I'm the same. Haven't watched a debate since 2004. I just hang out here and see what people are saying. Needless to say, that was not fun with the last debate. I'm hoping to see more positive posts this time around.

My plan is to have it on but muted and be on the phone with a very close friend while we watch (I'm in KY, he's in FL). I will un-mute the President but mute Romney and attempt to read his answers...can't listen to him.

So...you are not the lone wimp.....

When dealing with a live audience asking question anything can happen. Shit, that didn't help my nerves.

Same thing I do watching football when my team is in a precarious position. I always have the retreat channel on "last" for a fast escape from any impending beat downs. Though I expect Obama to do really well, I think it won't be as easy as who won, not in a town hall.

I've watched most of them since 1960 and have grown bored with them. I look at them now as just glorified commercials between two brands trying to make a sale.

This is a game to most people. I see all the smug conservatives around me. It's like watching children play with dynamite. They don't realize how dangerous this is, or how many people could get hurt. It's just a game to them. Go white people! Yay!
