#1 reason we need Manchin and it's good to have him

I have posted many threads criticizing Manchin….read this story today and remembered why we need him

“The first, but certainly not the last, not even close,” Schumer said ahead of the vote. “I greatly look forward to confirming what will be the first of many judicial appointments during the Biden administration.”

He’s gone full Koch from what I’m seeing. He’s already proven that with his repudiation of HR1.

while I was underway offshore of the east coast, standing tortuous port & starboard watches catching maybe 2-4 hours sleep a day, while he partied. How dare he vote against legislation that can help veterans with long term senior care that I can use in this stage of my life.

I thinks it’s time to call and leave a voicemail and shame this little puke. From his biography, the Manchin’s seem to mimic the Romney family where none of that family served in the military either. These draft evaders seem to forget there was a lot more going on than just LBJs Vietnam mess. We were actively playing bump and grind with Krushev’s subs, and we’re terribly undermanned underway because of people like Manchin, Romney, et al.

If we can’t shame the little puke, then he is probably a lost cause to us.

If Manchin is stripped of his Chair...what's he going to do? Is he going to caucus with the Repubs? If so, it's the end of his career. It's not like he's going to win a Repub primary in WV, and it will definitely end his chances as a Democrat.

But the assertion seems to be that we need him more than he needs us for some reason. I don't believe it for a nanosecond.

He would if Trump endorsed him, and it would not be out of character for Trump to throw his support to Manchin in exchange for Manchin throwing the Senate into Republican hands. Trump loves to fuck with Democrats. It would be worth it to Trump to endorse a less than true believer if by doing so he could boast that he was responsible for stopping the Democratic "socialist agenda" in its tracks.
