When goal is confrontation with law enforcement; do not expect widespread community support...

of your events.

This is the FB image posted just now begging community members (beyond the usual turnout) to attend a Housing is a Human Right march.

First off, *AWESOME* housing, shelter, adequate food and water along with several other basic needs are human rights issues which I fully support.

However, I do not support gauging the success of the event on whether or not law enforcement deploys non-lethal crowd dispersal methods; which is most certainly a 'tactic' in the eyes of some activists.

Secondly, when called out; to assume that one is automatically a 'pig' or 'narc '...great job alienating the individuals who you are asking to bolster the ranks of your event.

Lastly, I'm uncomfortable being told that I need to dress, act, and otherwise disguise my identity in public. Why? I have no problem who knows that I feel that housing is a human rights issue...what gives. -I'm not that naive either, I know exactly why.

Perhaps I'd like to be ensured that I am not going to be physically injured requiring me to lose work due to your 'tactical' deployment of questionable routes creating attention to your causes...

at least some of the people adopting this line of strategy, i.e. those people who may authentically prioritize justice over anger and self-aggrandizement. I am sorry that we disagree, but disagree we MUST, because . . .

Others who are behind it are of no loss to me, because I personally know that at least some of them are of the Libertarian/Anarchism variety that fights DUI driver checks; who tolerate, and in some cases indulge in and exploit, the use of any and all drugs, and whom I personally know one active proponent of which, who worked in a local Republican campaign, who promoted, in "jest" or otherwise, the "justice of stealing" within a group that directly interfaces with the homeless.

I know that masks are admired here at the DU, but I say fuck 'em, fuck all of these masked sorts whom I sketch in the paragraph just above; fuck them and the horse that they rode in on.
