If the filibuster is so important to requkes
Instead of threatening to abuse power if it’s gone they could just say they’ll reinstate it. Or is this another point they lie about?

1. K&R, they only need simple majority to reinstate it

2. It's just political theater
They will use the filibuster to hide behind legislation they don’t like when they’re in the majority
They will use the filibuster to block the majority when they’re in the minority. Common political theater. They’re not for the filibuster because they love the filibuster. They’re for it because it helps their immediate goal, which is to block the majority. I absolutely believe they will “abuse power” if we nuke the filibuster now and they regain the majority in the future. They did it with filibuster on court nominations. Harry Reid nuked the filibuster for lower court nominations and the GOP rammed over 200+ judges through when they had the chance; and when they regained the majority, they nuked the filibuster for SCOTUS nominations and rammed 3 of them down our throats. |

3. If the Republicans were in our position, there would be no filibuster
and they would be shoving right-wing legislation down our throats every day. McConnell would be swearing that he never supported the filibuster and that it was un-American.

4. He's suspended it previously during Obama admin
When it suits him. That needs to be shoved under Manchin's nose.

5. They were in our position just a few years ago
Trump pushed them to get rid of the filibuster at almost the exact same point in his administration.
