they should put a tunnel under the road so the deer could cross. He was serious. I laughed and said they should also put signs in the woods, directing the deer to the tunnel.

10. You know what's even worse than where they put deer crossings?

It's where they put those jackalope crossings out here in the Southwest!

I totally understand that jackalopes prefer the flat desert areas of the west, but why do they have to put jackalope crossings smack dab in the middle of an 80 mile an hour zone straightaway on the interstate highways? It's, like, totally stupid. For one thing, they are a protected species; why can't they just make the crossing go under the highway? Like, duh. We have a crossing not too far from where I live, and one of my neighbors nearly went off the road when a jackalope ran out in front of her Jeep a few weeks back.

cutest little Duck Crossing sign a couple of miles from my house. One day 2 of them were actually sitting right in the middle of the road. I got out and asked them to move. They obliged most willingly.

The sign has a mom duck followed by 3 baby ducks.
