BURLINGTON, Wis.
The Burlington Area School District says it will reinstate a high school teacher, even after some parents complained about information he presented to students.
They said Jeff Taff shared conspiracy theories about the pandemic and posted to students in Google Classroom about "election integrity" while attending the Jan. 6 riot in Washington, D.C.

"Jeff would like his students and community to know that "truth trumps accusation," read a statement from Taff's attorney.

(2,672 posts)yeah thought so. a teacher who went to that rally, knew exactly what WHY he went. The school district should include a January 6th lesson every year and make this guy teach it. he can present only real facts and see how much longer he would keep teaching ?

(33,643 posts)I don't think anyone who doesn't break the law should lose their job over attending a political rally, even if I disagree (strongly obviously) with the politics.
Pretty sure though eventually he's going to run afoul of some policy and get canned.
