11. Yip. Is that hard to wait until our intelligence agency finishes it's assessment?

However, it maybe impossible to ever know. I mean, even China might not really know if it happened.

3. It's a funny take, but there were COVID antibodies found in Italy...

...back before anything was being reported in Wuhan, I believe.

Here's the link to the story: https://www.reuters.com/article/health-coronavirus-italy-timing/researchers-find-coronavirus-was-circulating-in-italy-earlier-than-thought-idUSKBN27W1J2

I am just fine with waiting to hear a scientific consensus on how this virus originated rather than jumping to any particular conclusion.

6. Well, he's not wrong in his analysis.

Is it possible it occurred naturally? Of course.

It is also possible that the lab was doing research, exposed some of their employees, and then let it get out? Yep.

7. There is another potential explanation

Maybe it was circulating in a lot of places but Wuhan was the only place that had the expertise to properly identify it. Just because it was identified there first doesn't mean it originated there.

But I tend to believe the lab did have something to do with it but that doesn't really change the issue at all. We still had to react to it the same way and failed spectacularly at it.

More importantly, why are we posting tweets from Clay Travis now. He is the new Rush Limbaugh so he could wither and fail in a vacuum as far as I am concerned.

8. The stages of how/when I gave up on him:

* When he was riding high identified as a Lib, he was O.K. with me, with me writing off his also-digs-at-Libs as just his being a comedian.

* Then he torpedoed CNN's Crossfire where clear Left and Right went at each other, with his rant about the show dividing the country. The effect (if not the cause) of Crossfire's being cancelled was to leave the field wide open for the Faux Propaganda Network to take over.

* Then he started making noises about getting along with wingnuts, hosting and guesting O'LOOFAH.

* Then when whackjob wingnut Glenn BecKKK staged some kind of "unity" circus, STEWART put on some weird event supposedly "unifying" from the Left, that turned out to be some kind of hippie-dippy crap show with bubbles and the Mythbuster whackjobs. Afterwards, the maligned-here MAHER said, "If you're going to have an event, it needs to be ABOUT something."

*****After that I just wrote him off completely. I didn't follow him much to begin with but nothing ever since or ever to come. I wish COLBERT would cut him loose entirely.

13. I thought it was good. -in 2018 the Wujan lab was called risky

In 2018, Diplomats Warned of Risky Coronavirus Experiments in a Wuhan Lab. No One Listened.
After seeing a risky lab, they wrote a cable warning to Washington. But it was ignored.

When they sat down with the scientists at the WIV, the American diplomats were shocked by what they heard. The Chinese researchers told them they didn’t have enough properly trained technicians to safely operate their BSL-4 lab. The Wuhan scientists were asking for more support to get the lab up to top standards.

The diplomats wrote two cables to Washington reporting on their visits to the Wuhan lab. More should be done to help the lab meet top safety standards, they said, and they urged Washington to get on it. They also warned that the WIV researchers had found new bat coronaviruses could easily infect human cells, and which used the same cellular route that had been used by the original SARS coronavirus. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2021/03/08/josh-rogin-chaos-under-heaven-wuhan-lab-book-excerpt-474322
