Just the Worst. Im Sorry but She Is: Internet Slams Meghan McCain for Claiming Biden Doing Grave Spiritual HarmMeghan McCain is attacking President Joe Biden with the sword of religion and the Internet is not having it. Having once presented herself as a moderate, McCain has increasingly moved to the far right, but her latest diatribe may be her most extreme yet.
I believe that he is doing gave spiritual harm to himself and harm to this country, McCain said of President Biden, over his support of a womans right to choose abortion.
McCain decided to side with the majority of U.S. Catholic Bishops, who themselves are violating a Vatican directive to not weaponize of politicize the most sacred rituals of the Roman Catholic Church.
Hes going to have to ultimately talk to his creator when the time comes as we all do, she added, and reconcile his politics with his personal faith.

(25,618 posts)Biden and the government are MURDERERS. Also, Biden "claims" to be Catholic. Like, he's totally not only a murderer but a liar too. The Creator will totally be mad at him and he might have to go to the other hot bad place.

I've never seen nor heard a suggestion that she is gay or lesbian.

(5,157 posts)And, I have no idea what the post was saying, but I feel I should point out that being 'traditionally' married has absolutely no bearing on whether or not someone has same sex attractions. And, although we may finally be in a position where a LBGTQ person can just get with whomever they want, there is still a decided stigma on someone trying to get elected or the like. Plenty of LBGTQ persons have married the opposite sex just because it helps with their career and/or allows them to live a 'normal' life among their family and neighbors. It is more than gratifying that we are finally getting to the point where LBGTQ persons can actually be involved with government, be involved with education, and not be judged or seen as some vile beast trying to get the kids or indoctrinate them into this 'sinful' lifestyle. Again, just throwing it out there...

(34,195 posts)Of course, but we were discussing Meghan McCain and there is no indication that I have ever seen read or heard that she is a lesbian or may have had lesbian affairs.
That said if she chose to do so it would be okay,
And would have nothing to do with her politics.

(14,857 posts)If there's a congregation somewhere that worships Bigfoot while also endorsing love and tolerance, I'd just think the Bigfoot aspect of it isn't necessary.
But that's indeed better than the pernicious messages from some congregations.

(54,436 posts)We don't get US TV here, and I'm not going to waste my time watching podcasts of it. Just seeing her statements in print is enough for me. It sounds like she is doing her level best to have a paying job with Fox Noise when the producers of her show have finally had enough. Maybe she is good for shock value, but it just sounds like she is angry with the world for making her an all-round unappealing individual. If I were in the USA watching that show and she started in with her hateful diatribe, I would just change the channel and not change back.

(25,618 posts)It's a popular day time TV show in the U.S.
I'm not in the U.S. either but watch it on YouTube because it's posted every day. The only problem is Meghan. Some people think it's acting, but it's not. She didn't want to be on the show but her father urged her to do so. He's rolling over in his grave with embarrassment and regret now, and her mother cringes every time Meghan gives an exhibition of her stupidity.
I love reading YouTube comments because 99% are about how everyone hates her. She's dong no favors to Republicans by so publicly displaying her stupidity, rudeness and unprofessionalism. As usual.

(40,220 posts)and John McCain were close friends and to Cindy as well.
I remember seeing Biden on the view during the campaign comforting Meghan who was sobbing over her fathers illness.
Why she would say such things about a great family friend is perplexing, but maybe not all that surprising as she is fanatically anti-choice.

Domenech is co-founder and publisher of The Federalist which spewed misinformation during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Domenech also published a piece, entitled "How Medical Chickenpox Parties Could Turn The Tide Of The Wuhan Virus," by an individual identified as a physician in Oregon who recommended that people hold "chickenpox"-style parties for the coronavirus to build herd immunity, recommendations contrary to those of virtually all mainstream public health experts. "Given the recent example of spring break 2020 for college students in Florida, one could imagine such gatherings even becoming a social activity," the author, Doug Perednia wrote. Pedrednia, a former dermatologist, had been a businessman for the past 25 years, during which time he had not practiced medicine, and also allowed his medical license to lapse.[62][64][65][66] The Federalist was subsequently temporarily suspended from Twitter because the website, Twitter said, had used its platform to promote fringe ideas that contradicted public health experts and were harmful to public health.[65]

(18,486 posts)I mean, since you're so concerned about spiritual harm caused by not trying to stop women from doing something never mentioned by Jesus, God, or anyone else in the Bible, you surely have views about your parents' violation of one of the Ten Commandments that God and Jesus both made clear was a really big deal.

I have always invoked "Moral Choice" in these arguments. Anti choicers are surprised by this. I point out that moral choice is the only way to deal with the issue of abortion. You want to stop this woman from having an abortion? What about HER moral choice? You may not like her moral choice but it is hers to make and is indeed morally grounded.
PP's have counseling (or did when I was there a long time ago). I recall that one of the most often cited reason for the choice of termination was that she already had kids or a kid and could not afford nor adequately care for the child/children they already have.
